Yes, we had a good look. There is nothing there. All the stumps are on steel stirrups embedded in concrete piers so its not attractive for termites and easy to inspect. Its not really a surprise that there are termites in the straw. They are all over the block. But there does seem to be an attitude that termites don’t eat straw, which is wrong, and you do have to have adequate termite barriers in a strawbale house.
